Above Average Proofreading

February 6th, 2012 by admin

When purchasing proofreading for business literature most companies believe that whoever they choose simply makes sure that their writing is grammatically correct.  This may be true of low end companies, but a great proofreader will do much more.  While many will check grammar and spelling, great companies will ensure that the writing fits the objective.  If the writing is for website content, a good proofreader will make sure that the content is concise and engaging.  Most website visitors will not read more than a few lines of text to find the information they need.  If the written work is for an employee policy manual, the proofreader will make sure that the writing is clear and concise.  There is no room for policies that are written in a way that could be confusing to those reading.
