Film Tax Credits in Iowa

Iowa’s rolling hills, open plains, and foreests, its diverse population and cultures, attract producers of movies, television shows, commercials, and other film and video projects.  But its not just art, it is also business.  Because production costs help determine where such projects are made, Iowa now provides Iowa Film Tax Credits and other financial incentives to attract producers to film on location.

These incentives attract more production and are a cost effective approach to create jobs.  A cottage industry has sprung up to provide the support infrastructure and professional services to support the film industry.  This stimulates economic activity not just in the film industry, but also in other industries througout the state.
