I read childrens books to the girls every night.

I have two daughters. I read childrens books to them every night before tucking them into bed. They love being read to. They say that children who are read to will grow up to be readers themselves. I hope so. Reading is so important. It develops language skills and increases vocabulary. Children who read do well in a variety of school subjects. Reading to my children allows them to wind down a bit before going to sleep, and it gives us an opportunity to bond.
