The Japanese Bath As A Cleansing Ritual.
November 3rd, 2008 by admin
The style of Japanese bathing is more of a ritual than it is simply a way to cleanse.
It is a cleansing on a deeper level: in tune with nature, the surroundings, and the bather’s inner self.
Japanese ofuros, or bathing tubs, are crafted from the finest cedar and hinoki wood to offer a true sense of melding with the woods.
I fell in love with the outdoor Japanese soaking tub on a trip I took to Japan a few years back.
While I still had the experience fresh in my memory, I quickly purchased my own ofuro for relaxation and cleansing.
