I am sure you have seen the easy, stick in the ground, landscaping lights that use sunlight collected during the day to power them at night. I just discovered that this technology is now available for use with Christmas lights. This would definitely solve my problem that I run into each year as I try to run gauntlets of extension cords all across my yard. Now I could put these solar Christmas outdoor Christmas lights on any tree or shrub in my yard without having to worry about how far away they are from my electric outlets on my house. Just put the light collector in the ground next to the tree.
