Stapleton Real Estate - The “Green Plan”

The plan to substitute Stapleton International Airport with Denver International Airport had first had a foothold in 1989 and from there – planners began deliberating about how to best redevelop the site where the Stapleton International Airport stood. Yet it was only after the convention of Stapleton Development Foundation (a private group composed of Denver civic leaders) in 1990 where a master plan for the site was produced – a plan that emphasized on the urban development site being pedestrian-oriented rather than the automobile-oriented design prominent in many major planned developments. The Stapleton real estate is slated to become grounds for the "green plan," a world-recognized outline for a sustainable community. In fact, nearly one-third of the former airport site was slated for redevelopment as public park space. Now, seven years later after the construction of the area began in 2001 – over a thousand homes have been built on the former Stapleton International Airport site.

Finally, a Vacation!

After being married almost five years, my husband and I are finally planning a vacation. Because we now have a beautiful little three month old son, we are not able to go out of the country or do something exotic, but we have found something even better. We decided to go on the San Francisco wine tours. My brother lives in the area, so he will be able to lead us to the best tours, and we can’t wait to have the experience of a lifetime. We are looking forward to the company, the scenery, the sunshine, but most of all the wine!

Nicaraguan aid works in the school trying to improve literacy and medical care through humanitarian aid.  The janitor works in the school and keeps it clean while her health is being cared for the school nurse.  The children sit in their seats with their hands up and are very polite to visitors and donors.  Donations help to improve the standard of education and provide the students with nourishment and tax-deductible donations.  Poverty is apparent in the faces of the pre-school children who have 501(c)(3) status and are working on micro-lending. I was fairly young, just over 35- and on a girls’ adventure with my mom and sister to experience our heritage - Italy! We arrived in Rome a few days early, staying in one of the picturesque Rome hotels so that we could explore the city more thoroughly before joining the tour group. We walked as much as possible, so that we could take in the details of the place. And, it appears, the men took in our details as well. I thought that my mother would be a deterrent to the legendary pinching, so my sister and I always walked close to her, giving the silent message that we were chaperoned, so to speak. Not so!
