The Telephone Pan Handler

September 13th, 2008 by admin

I recently heard a story about a telephone pan handler. I had never heard of such an idea, or thought of it for that matter. This guy calls around to churches in the area and asks to speak to a pastor. Once he gets the pastor on the phone he asks for financial assistance. Most churches will provide one time financial assistance in the form of a $100 gift card. The same guy called my church back after getting financial assistance several times. The church started doing a reverse lookup on the incoming phone numbers he was using and realized he was doing this from any business that happened to have a courtesy phone he could use. I don’t know whether to be upset with the guy or impressed with the scam he devised.

Nursing Job Decriptions As An Attachment

September 4th, 2008 by admin

One of the members of the egroup where I am a member sent an email announcing that her cousin will be in town for a couple of days to interview nurses, etc.  This cousin of hers has a company in New York and he is looking for registered nurses and others to fill his healthcare establishment.  I already sent an email to this other member stating my interest because a cousin of mine is a registered nurse. She replied with several attachments. She included Nursing Job Descriptions, application forms, pre-employment questions and others. I forwarded the email to my cousin. I hope she takes the opportunity.  It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Where to go for a masters in criminal psychology

August 23rd, 2008 by admin

There are a lot of colleges and universities out there. I was never a big believer that it really mattered where you went to school as long as you graduated. Now that I am thinking of getting a masters in criminal psychology I am starting to think that it does matter. I want to go to a school that has a strong reputation and a high job placement rate. If I am going to work as a criminal psychologist after my PhD I want to know that I had a good education and that I know what I am doing.

Keep it clean

August 15th, 2008 by admin

If you are thinking of getting a job, but have criminal records on your name you should be informed. You need to know that your potential employer is most likely going to search your name in the database to see if anything rises to the surface. Depending on the crime you committed it could keep you from getting that job. It is wise to be up front with any potential thing you may want your future employer to know about. It’s better that you be honest with them, rather then them finding out and not knowing the whole truth to your story.

It is not just sit down and read kind of book. Without a concordance you miss a lot of what these words on those pages signify.
