Animal Rights Advocate
November 8th, 2009 by admin
As part of my Mass Communication course, I was to make a documentary on an organization that has a social impact in the community. Being an animal advocate, I decided to feature a local pet shelter that recues maltreated animals, specifically dogs. This shelter has been saving animals in the city for five years now. They also provide temporary shelters for pets whose owners will go on a trip for several days. The temporary shelter has a fee but still that can’t help provide the food and care the dogs in the shelter need. Even though they don’t have the proper funding, they still go on with their work. In order to raise funds, the volunteers make and sell collars for dogs made from indigenous materials.

Gift Idea Gained From Visit to Pool
November 6th, 2009 by admin
We spent the afternoon at the swimming pool today and boy how relaxing that was. I did see some of the cutest Kids Beach Towels there that I had to go ask where they’d bought them. They had fire engines on the boy’s and fairies on the girl’s. They had them monogrammed with their names on the sides too. They told me where they got them and I happened to have one of their catalogs at home just waiting to be looked at. I think I’m going to get them for my grand babies for their birthdays. I’ll wrap up some pool toys in them too.

Any one of these bathrooms is great
November 6th, 2009 by admin
Did you realize earlier what I was talking about when I said that the best bathrooms are the ones with heart and love put into them? They are so clean you can really lick the floor. And that is gross I know but you get my drift. It’s a combination of good looking curtains and a cheap old shower with nice showerheads. You need a nice medicine cabinet too if you’re going to fix up your bathroom. So while it can be a lot of work at the same time it can be very rewarding and that to me is good.

More or Less
November 5th, 2009 by admin
By now, who has not heard of the Sony Bravia KDL55X4500 55-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Freeview? It offers high performance, top notch quality, and reliability. I have not mentioned the extras that come with this fantastic product, such as the kdl-55×4500 best prices. No other TV is going to give back as much as this one whether you pay more or less. I don’t think it’s necessary to list all of the attributes of this piece of technology when you can see for yourself at kdl55×4500.com. Check out the reviews and the pricing and then compare it to the average television.

Blinds have the ability
November 1st, 2009 by admin
Blinds are much less bulky than many other window coverings such as curtains, and in many rooms of the house this is a distinct advantage. Blinds stay right up against the window and are much sleeker and more manageable.Blinds have the ability to let just the right amount of light into a room. Often, particularly during the height of summer, sunlight needs to be regulated so as to not produce glare. Blinds are the perfect solution, as they can often be angled to reduce glare yet still allow enough light into the room to function efficiently. This ability to angle blinds also aids privacy, as you’ll be able to see out while others won’t be able to see in. And, as with all window coverings, blinds aid in the insulation of your home, and being right up against the window they’re particularly effective. These are just a few advantages of having blinds in your home, and there’s sure to be more. So, consider them thoroughly and make sure to invest in some blinds as soon as possible. There are a whole range of different types of blinds, each with their own advantages and functions. Here are just a few of the types of blinds that are on offer.Roman BlindsThese blinds are ideal for those wanting a more sophisticated look and are a great alternative to curtains. With Roman blinds, the panel is made out of softer material and when raised the blinds fold up to create a layered effect. Roman blinds can be used for a whole range of window types and with so many types of blind material to choose from, there’s bound to be Roman blinds to match any room in the house.

Chinese Checkers Game Not Lame
October 30th, 2009 by admin
I used to think that board games are lame. You know I was exposed to playing games in the computer and I never realized that my brother is emulating me already. My mom is alarmed with our repulsion to other games which is why she thought of teaching us the Chinese checkers game.
I really thought that it was rather lame and boring which is why I never really get to enjoy it at first. But then my mom is really persistent and she wants us to learn how to play the Chinese checkers game. Later on, I realized that this game is really challenging and nice. It was very wrong for me to think that the Chinese checkers game is lame.

Kitchen needs a lot of work
October 30th, 2009 by admin
I’ve always wanted a complete kitchens. My mom was great at cooking and she had pots and pans of every shape and size. Her utensils were organized in one part of the counter, and she always kept the kitchen warm and homey. I can’t say I’m the same. My kitchen obviously needs a lot of work. I try organizing my stuff, but it’s hard without the right containers and shelf. I went shopping yesterday to take a look at some model units. I got some pretty cool ideas of how my complete kitchen should look like. I’m excited to have it done.
