The truth is that the details I got were not accurate because they were the same as others I had collected for another book with a similar title and they did not match at all. I failed in the exhibit for giving such wrong information and from then on I have never bothered myself with online services again. I have also heard others complain of the same problem from the online sites which they used, and so you should know that I am not speaking of something that I do not know of. The kind of information given online should be thoroughly inspected before it is released online as otherwise it is not helpful at all to those who use it. I personally prefer to do my own research in the library nowadays until I am fully convinced that those who operate online services have changed and they give the right information that people ask for when they trust them with their questions.

Exploring the West Coast swing, San Diego

When exploring West coast swing San Diego, one must go back to the first West Coast swing dancers that stared dancing West Coast swing in the 1950’s. I learned West Coast swing in the 1970’s so I had the honor of dancing with these original West Coast swing dancers. When these first Westies learned the dance, it had gone through one of its early evolutions from Lindy Hop to the form danced by the 1950’s dancers. In the 1960’s Motown, soul and rock music influenced the West Coast swing so the dance shifted slightly to accommodate the new music. Then in late 1970’s Disco Hustle dance music changed the West Coast swing again. It remained fairly the same for a decade or so until the early nineties when it evolved and flourished along with the Country Western music and dance craze. The C&W dancers changed the West Coast swing from a more rhythm dance to a smoother, longer form of the dance. In the 2000’s Hip Hop trickled into West Coast swing and added a new movement to the dance although this was similar to the Motown soul influence. Finally, in the late 2000’s it was influenced by folk ballads and soft rock and incorporated the lyrics into the dance. Some have suggested that a new dance was created which might be called Lyrical Swing but in fact, this is just another evolution of West Coast swing.
