Outplacement Group Services

Many times, companies who are undergoing major restructuring will end up outplacing an entire department. As a courtesy to those whose jobs have been eliminated, the company will sometimes pay for the entire group to undergo training with an outplacement consultant. This helps for a few reasons. First, the employee does not have to seek out individual services that could end up costing him or her moeny. Second, completing the training alongside people with whom one is already comfortable makes the process much smoother. The cost for this type of program varies. Sometimes the company pays one lump sum, other times they must pay based on the number of people attending. The format is usually a multi-day conference addressing key issues involved in finding and securing new employment.
