Get Better Credit
January 28th, 2008 by admin
Want to get better credit? Then you need to raise your credit score. Fortunately, getting a higher credit score is not terribly difficult.
The first rule is not to max out your credit. If you have $10,000 available on all of your credit cards, then ideally you won’t have more than $3,500 in total debt. The closer to your limit you are on your cards, then the lower your credit score will go.
However, you should have and use at least one credit card. It helps establish a track record of taking out credit and paying it back. Even if you pay off the balance every month, that’s fine (and a good idea). The trick is to use your credit, and as long as you’re responsible with it, you’ll find that you view your credit score as your friend, not as an adversary.
