Executives Viewpoint On Why Project Fail.

May 14th, 2008 by admin

Gartner Group conducted a survey of business executives to identify from their perspective "Why do projects fail?".  The survey results were telling.  Most of the time it came down to missed schedule deadline, over budget and or missed the mark in regard to the solution requirements. With each or all, the executives view of the project and project manager were low.  It didn’t matter by how much over budget or past the scheduled time line, the perspective was low.The project team could have dealt with many challenges but in the end, the business executives didn’t care.  Their measure of success or failure was dependent upon expectation and result.  Many Project Recovery Consulting companies are called upon to recover the project, but to also manage customer/business executive expectations.
