Bloodborne Pathogen Training - Why It Is Required

If you are an employer, you know that one critical piece of OSHA compliance is bloodborne pathogen training and you know the consequences for not completing it.  Why is it required?  Simply put, OSHA has a job to do and that is to ensure that employers keep there employees safe.  With such bloodborne diseases such as hepatitis, HIV, and others, the need to prevent contaminated blood from going from employee to employee is a big one.  There are many tools to use to complete this training but the most common is a bloodborne pathogen safety training video.  Most of these products include an employee quiz so that you can ensure your trainees have been listening.
