February 29th, 2008 by admin
Not many people know the difference between pastel painting and drawing. They often confuse pastel drawing with painting. The difference is not that simple. According to the experts, the difference lies in the use of working surface on the canvas. Usually, the working surface of the pastel painting covers the entire spectrum of the canvas. It does not leave any hints of the textured paper or canvas used for painting. On the other hand, a pastel drawing doesn’t cover the entire canvas. It leaves you with the hints of quality of paper.
